She completed Bachelor of Arts from R. R. Campus in Kathmandu in 1985. In 1988, she received ICCR Scholarship from Indian Council of Relation at MS University of Baroda India. She completed her BFA (Bachelors in Fine Arts) in the year 1993 at MS University, Baroda, India. She then completed Research and Study in Fine Arts in HBK University at Braunschweig, Germany.

She has participated in various group exhibitions and done many solo exhibitions. She has exhibited and her collections are in various countries like Nepal, Germany, England, USA and India.

At present she is involved in promoting Nepali tourism and cultural exchange programme between Nepal and Germany.
